The Vision

Ministering Together unites organizations within the Catholic Church, challenging them to change the way they work together, to more effectively leverage their services, to conduct advocacy efforts for social justice, and to link more closely with local communities.

Ministering Together seeks to ensure that the ministries of the church work as partners as they provide health, education and social services.  Our goal is to have local dioceses and parishes assume a more prominent role in this effort.  Working with U.S. bishops, we seek to identify individuals in dioceses nationwide who can convene regularly to share information and resources and to maximize the impact of collaborative efforts at the local level.

Ministering Together is animated by the Gospel imperative to further the caring and healing mission of Jesus.  Together, we commit ourselves to create a stronger and more unified voice for justice to enhance the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities.

Our underlying assumption is that by working together rather than separately, ministries of the Catholic Church can more authentically and effectively fulfill the caring and healing mission of Jesus.
